This project is unique in many ways. The site holds memories of generations.
The building that during the last 40 years housed the Night club” Oscar” was given its building permit by Swedish King Oscar II more than one hundred years ago.
On the site is also what used to be a small summer hotel, called“Turisten”.
Both the night club and the hotel have been closed down since 2004, largely due to the deteriorated state of the buildings.
In sketching we have focused on finding a modern design evolving from traditional wooden Architecture that will advance and enrich the Marstrand townscape and waterfront. Extensive study of detail and model samples will be important in finding the right approach.
Planning permission is planned to be given in short time, as a result of all reports that have been produced for more than two and a half years in close cooperation with the town planning commitiée and the municipality of Kungälv.
3.000 m2 30 apartments. First floor is performed as conference facilities in cooperation with Villa Maritime.
