Final version of the project Bergakungens Salar - “Halls of the Mountain King”. Project was in 1989 initiated by late filmdirector Conny Plånborg and architect Håkan Cullberg
Building on site started in 2004 and a grand opening was held in November 2006. The multiplex was inaugurated 18th of November by the Swedish Queen Silvia.
14 theatres and seats approximately 2 200 people.
One of the theatres is a VIP-theatre with an adjoining VIP-lounge. Cinema holds an exciting restaurant a café – named Danilo.
Project is the most exciting Cinema in all Nordic countries and is equipped with the biggest screens in all Sweden - 18 x 8 m. Filmstaden Bergakungen was widely acknowledged on several Swedish TV-channels as well as in public and architectural press. Project is a great success - 250.000 paying visitors in first two months after opening.
In May 2007 project was given  honourable mention “Svenska Ljuspriset 2006”
